Proper feed is the backbone of a profitable broilers farm. Making your own feed saves costs and ensures your chickens get exactly what they need at each growth stage. Let’s break it down:

1.Starter Feed (0–3 weeks)

Purpose: Supports rapid growth and strengthens immunity in broilers.

Key Ingredients: Maize: 50% (energy source) Soybean meal: 25% (protein) Fishmeal: 10% (high-quality protein) Vegetable oil: 3–5% (energy & fatty acids) Limestone: 1.5% (calcium for bones) Dicalcium phosphate: 1% (phosphorus & calcium balance) Salt: 0.5% Vitamins & minerals premix: 1–2%

Crumble or mash form for easy consumption. Protein: 22–24%, Energy: ~3000 kcal/kg

2. Grower Feed (4–5 weeks)

Purpose: Maintain growth rate and prepare for finishing phase. Key Ingredients: Maize: 55% Soybean meal: 20% Fishmeal or meat & bone meal: 5% Vegetable oil: 3% Limestone: 1% Dicalcium phosphate: 1% Salt: 0.5% Vitamins & minerals premix: 1%

Pellet or mash form.

Protein: 20–22%, Energy: ~3100 kcal/kg

3. Finisher Feed (6 weeks–market)

Purpose: Promote final weight gain and meat quality. Key Ingredients: Maize: 60–65% Soybean meal: 15% Vegetable oil: 2–3% Limestone: 1% Dicalcium phosphate: 1% Salt: 0.5% Vitamins & minerals premix: 1%

Pellet form preferred for feed efficiency.

Protein: 18–20%, Energy: ~3200 kcal/kg
